The Jesuit priest Felipe Rey de Castro was born in Brion, La Coruña, Galicia, Spain in 1889 and died in Havana, Cuba, in 1952. In 1931 he founded the Agrupacion Catolica Universitaria (ACU) in Havana together with a group of high school graduates from the Belen school. This Marian Congregation had a very special importance in the formation of hundreds of young Cuban university students that transcended the Cuban Republican era and also in the fight against the establishment of a totalitarian communist regime in 1959. The ACU has continued its apostolic work in Miami, for many years under the direction of Fr. Amando Llorente SJ and other Jesuit priests. This book recounts the life of Fr. Rey de Castro SJ. and the foundation and development of the ACU in Cuba.This book is a biography and study of the life and work of Fr. Felipe Rey de Castro (Spain, 1889-Cuba, 1952), founder of the Agrupación Católica Universitaria (ACU), one of the most important Catholic institutions in Cuba, which continues to , since 1961, his apostolic mission in Miami.El sacerdote jesuita Felipe Rey de Castro nació en Brion, La Coruña, Galicia, España en 1889 y fallece en La Habana, Cuba, en 1952. En el año 1931 funda en La Habana la Agrupación Católica Universitaria (ACU) junto a un grupo de graduados de bachillerato del colegio Belén. Esta Congregación Mariana tuvo una importancia muy especial en la formación de cientos de jóvenes universitarios cubanos que trascendió en la época republicana cubana y también en la lucha contra la implantación de un régimen totalitario comunista en 1959. La ACU ha continuado su labor apostólica en Miami, por muchos años bajo la dirección del P. Amando Llorente SJ y otros sacerdotes jesuitas. Este libro relata la vida del P. Rey de Castro SJ. y también sobre la fundación y desarrollo de la ACUEste libro es biografía y estudio de la vida y obra del P. Felipe Rey de Castro (España,1889-Cuba,1952), fundador de la Agrupación Católica Universitaria (ACU), una de las instituciones católicas más importantes de Cuba, que sigue, desde 1961, su misión apostólica en Miami.
